As we continue to grow, we are seeking a talented Digitally Native Junior Interior Designer to join our team and support our Design Manager in delivering exceptional designs to our clients.
Role Overview:
The Digitally Native Junior Interior Designer will play a crucial role in translating our clients' visions into reality using the latest digital design technologies and AutoCAD expertise.
This role will collaborate closely with the Design Manager to create and optimize design concepts, produce detailed drawings, and ensure seamless communication between the design and construction teams.
The ideal candidate should be well-versed in digital design tools, have a passion for architecture and home design, and possess a keen eye for aesthetics and functionality.
Responsibilities:
Digital Design Expertise:
Utilize advanced digital design software and tools, with a focus on AutoCAD, to create detailed architectural plans, 3D renderings, and visualizations of custom home designs.
Client Collaboration:
Work closely with clients to understand their specific design preferences, lifestyle needs, and project requirements, providing expert guidance and suggesting design solutions.
Design Optimization:
Collaborate with the Design Manager to review and optimize design concepts, ensuring they align with the clients' vision, local building codes, and project feasibility.
3D Visualization:
Create immersive 3D visualizations and walkthroughs to help clients visualize the proposed designs and make informed decisions during the design process.
Coordination with Project Team:
Liaise with the construction and project management teams to ensure smooth communication and seamless integration of the design plans into the construction process.
Design Documentation:
Prepare detailed construction documents, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and specifications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
Stay Updated with Design Trends:
Keep abreast of the latest design trends, materials, and technologies to provide innovative and contemporary design solutions to clients.
Quality Control:
Conduct thorough quality checks on design deliverables to maintain consistency and precision in the design process.
Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field is preferred.
Experience:
Demonstrated experience in digital design, particularly with AutoCAD, is essential.
Prior experience in the custom home building industry or architectural firms is a significant advantage.
Proficiency in Digital Design Tools:
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant digital design software is required.
Experience with 3D rendering software is highly desirable.
Aesthetics and Attention to Detail:
A keen eye for aesthetics, proportion, and functionality is crucial to create visually appealing and practical designs.
Communication Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for effectively collaborating with clients and internal project teams.
