ENERCON is seeking a Substation Engineer for our Palm Beach Gardens, FL office. This person will maintain a range of responsibilities including prosecution of electrical substation projects, including protection and control as well as physical design.
This person will assist Senior Engineers in completing assignments and work closely with other engineering & design team members to coordinate multiple projects involving:
Developing electric substation drawings, including single line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams and physical drawings; such as plan views, elevation views, control panel layouts, control building layouts
Performing substation design calculations and analysis; such as short circuit stand, ground grid analysis & design, lightning protection, voltage drop and AC & DC station service sizing
Work closely with Civil Engineering department to develop substation foundation and structure drawings
Develop technical equipment and construction specifications and work scopes
Provide on-site technical support for select clients during construction and commissioning, as required
Other duties as assigned
As a qualified candidate, you will have the above experience and meet the below requirements:
Bachelor's of Science in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
5 to 12 years of experience in electrical engineering and design
Experience working for/with Florida Power & Light (FPL) preferred
Must be proficient with typical office software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Windows
Ability and willingness to travel to clients' construction sites as needed (must possess a valid driver's license, have access to a car and be willing to enter energized electric substations with proper training and PPE); most travel is expected to be within driving distance of the ENERCON office at this time
Ability and willingness to work occasional off hours to support clients and/or meet deadlines (including weekends if necessary)
Must be self-driven in time management in order to meet deadlines and provide accurate deliverables
Must be willing to learn new skills on the job with assistance from the Senior Engineers and others in the department

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
