Vehicle Description I have collected Classic Cars for 40 years (Over 250 cars) and this is one of my last 6 cars.
Age and health (and my sons) say it's time to move on! -LA Built and stayed in CA until sold to an Ohio Collector, around 1990, from whom I bought it.

53LA6349H - 217 CI engine 205 HP, 4-Barrel Carburetor.
The engine runs quietly and smoothly and at that time was the FIRST AMERICAN CAR TO HAVE IN EXCESS OF 200 HORSEPOWER except the Duesenberg.

BH76A (Capri Convertible).
Ford Motor Company named the model after Capri Island, a beautiful island in the bay of Naples, which at that time was a favorite destination for the rich and famous from around the world.
Thus the name CAPRI.
-Tom McCahill, at that time was the most recognized new car reporter and who Road Tested over 600 new cars in his career.
His prolificacy lasted 30 Years and most anyone looking to buy a new 50's car would read what Uncle Tom (as he was known) had to say about each new car as they were released to the public.
If you know about 1950's cars you should know his name.
He was so impressed with the 1953 Lincoln he bought one for himself! - 50th Anniversary Lincoln as designated on the dash.
The dash itself is a beautiful rarely seen original and unrestored piece of art.
Steering wheel is original with no cracks.
All gauges and lights (in and out) work including the optional Fog Lights.
The Power Steering, Brakes, Windows and Seat.
All operate properly.
-Power Top has all new mechanics (2019) and works perfectly.
-Well known in Lincoln circles.
Has won many awards, some of which are stored in a classic 50's piece of luggage in the trunk.
I was only able to purchase this car because the previous owner, Steve Allen passed away unexpectedly.
Steve found this Barn Find right in his home town where it had hibernated in a garage for over 20 years.
-For the 2nd year in a row LINCOLN TOOK THE FIRST 4 PLACES in the Pan American Road Race, one of the premier races worldwide at that time.
This race included cars from worldwide homes including Europe and England.
-The 4 Speed Hydra-Matic Automatic transmission shifts as it should.
-The Continental Kit is genuine FoMoCo made and installed at the selling Lincoln Dealership in California.
American cars at that time had the Factory Continental Kits installed by the selling dealership instead of shipping, usually by rail, because the kit added so much length.
-This car was the feature car, (cover too) with six pages telling it's history, in Viva Carrera, the official Publication of the Road Race Lincoln Register.
It details the story of finding this car (By the man I purchased it from) after a 20
year slumber in another collector's garage.
It details all the work done which was mainly bringing the mechanics back to life.
All records come with the car.
The car was fine sanded and buffed back to what you see today.
No body work was needed including rust, as there was none.
